Mercedes Construction in administration

Mercedes Construction, a commercial builder which claims to be linked to luxury Perth home builder Zorzi Builders, has brought in an administrator.

Mercedes Construction Pty Ltd moved to appoint administrator Ross Thomson from Bankruptcy Advisory Centre on Monday to run a ruler over its operations.

Osborne Park-headquartered Mercedes Construction describes itself as a commercial builder “part of the Zorzi Group of Companies”, according to its now ceased website.

Mercedes Construction is 65 per cent owned by an entity named Mercedes Developments, which is then owed by an entity called Western Alliance.

Western Alliance has multiple different shareholders, which include four shareholders of Zorzi, according to a statement from Zorzi Builders.

Mercedes Construction’s sole director is Adrian Gagiero, whose family owns the other 35 per cent of the company.

“As sole director, Adrian Gagiero without consulting the other shareholders put the company into voluntary administration on Monday,” Zorzi Builders said in a statement.

“The other shareholders are now endeavouring to work with the administrator that Adrian appointed to resolve the issue and enable the business to continue as quickly as possible.”
